A fundraising initiative is aiming to propel a Palestinian lullaby to the peak of the festive singles chart. The project aims to deliver assistance to Gaza's residents while also highlighting Palestinian culture and creativity.

Musician and artist Brian Eno, who contributes to the track, stated that the song titled Lullaby represents a chance to stand with Palestinians this festive season. He acknowledged the potential for an surprise number one.
“It would be fantastic if that occurred, yes,” he said. “I wouldn't be completely let down if it doesn’t, Christmas singles are a unique phenomenon.”
Resilient Spirit of Dignity and Freedom
Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who features in the version of a traditional lullaby called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the track's defiant core message.
“The song holds a deeply meaningful spot for many individuals,” Barghouti explained. “It’s basically saying that I would prefer a dignified death than exist without freedom. This is the primary message of the song; we seek to lead a life of dignity that we are entitled to as Palestinians.”

The single was laid down after a large-scale benefit event held in late summer. Originally intended to be done as a live recording, the piece was shelved during the concert due to time constraints.

Lullaby was crafted by a trio of talented individuals. The song blends a fusion of the traditional Arabic lyrics with freshly written English words.
The group managing the campaign have emphasized that their goal is to raise as much as possible for a charitable pot. These resources will be distributed to projects in Palestine through an established charity.
“We haven't set a specific target,” a spokesperson explained. “We will pursue the maximum achievable. Obviously, the higher the total, the greater the impact. It all goes out to those in need in Gaza.”
The situation in the area was described as its extreme devastation, with a huge proportion of infrastructure reportedly levelled or seriously harmed.
“In that context, a couple of million doesn’t make a massive dent. But I think the significant factor is primarily making this cause better known and demonstrating there’s another side to the story.”
The single 'Lullaby' is set to be released on Friday. Additionally, a complete film of the charity concert will be made ready to watch on a popular streaming site from mid-December.
