Tehran is prepared to reinitiate atomic negotiations with Washington as long as it is treated with "dignity" and "honor", Tehran's top diplomat has stated.

The Iranian diplomat stated solely negotiations produced results, and disclosed new appeals had originated from mediators to reopen negotiations with the US government. He claimed Iran did not have unreported enrichment locations, and Tehran had not yet reached a point to authorize the global atomic watchdog to access attacked atomic facilities for safety concerns.

Walking a Complex Course

Araghchi is walking a difficult course since Iran wishes not to be seen to be operating from a situation of disadvantage, and he insisted repeatedly that Iran had come out more powerful in military terms and emotionally from the coordinated strike on its atomic facilities in June.

He was addressing at a defense forum in Tehran where he reiterated that Iran had "a fundamental entitlement to enrich uranium domestically that it will perpetually retain" – the primary cause of the deadlock in the earlier negotiations.

Following this, EU nations exercised their privilege to reinstate global restrictions, but Iran asserts they have not had a substantial consequence.

Tehran representatives claimed they felt they had attained a "ideal resolution" to the enrichment issue in previous talks, when it was decided an Iran-based consortium with Washington's engagement could enrich uranium.
