Ukrainian UAVs have targeted Russia's Bashneft facility in the city of Ufa, situated around 1,400 kilometres from the Ukrainian border, causing blasts and a inferno, according to a source in the Ukrainian intelligence agency.

Cuba on the weekend denied US claims it has sent military personnel to participate in the hostilities, while declaring officials in Havana "are without accurate details about individuals" engaged "voluntarily" or "as part of the armed units of either party".
The ministry in the capital stated 26 Cuban citizens had been sentenced to prison terms ranging from five to 14 years for participating as mercenaries since September 2023 when reports emerged of individuals being dispatched to the front in Ukraine.
