The midfielder Crosses from corners and free kicks were dangerous. Enjoyed license to drift in left midfield yet found himself offside as the pass came in front of goal. Granted a merited substitution after an hour. Six

Jude Bellingham Operated in an advanced role on the right while also did plenty of dirty work. Showed glimpses of brilliance but dragged a shot wide. Substituted towards the end by a teammate, his competition, following a yellow card. 7

The winger Was presented with England’s best chance before halftime, his strike excellently kept out from the Albanian keeper. As Quansah staying deep, he was forced to offer an outlet down the right side yet his deliveries into the box were inconsistent. Taken off for the final quarter-hour. Six

Harry Kane The match-winner netting seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth goals for his country. The first a trademark close-range tap-in and his next a classy headed goal having drifted away from his marker. At 32, he’s only getting better and England are strong contenders in future competitions with him up top. 8/10

The attacker Had difficulty to influence play on the left flank. Had a decent opportunity when set up from a teammate however Strakosha denied him. His replacement had a greater influence in his place. 5
