Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Live coverage includes live text of Sunday's games via various channels, beginning with the Broncos-Jets clash in London (from 14:00 BST). Also, radio commentary is available through designated networks covering another key matchup (beginning at 9 PM BST).

It's week six in the NFL season , following recent discussion about two top teams being possible championship contenders, each lost their unbeaten records.

Striking during those contests was the number of infractions both conceded. Philadelphia did so in key moments so they kind of defeated themselves having led by two touchdowns entering the fourth period versus Denver, set to play in London this weekend.

But it proved good to see that Denver's QB the rookie was able to have that deficit before lead three successful possessions in three attempts in the fourth quarter, to win the victory by four points.

The Broncos boast the top defender in cornerback Pat Surtain II. They are first in goal-line defense, whereas the Eagles lead the league in red zone offence, yet the Broncos won that contest.

They had effective strategies regarding simulated pressure. They weren't always rushing extra pass rushers but they might plug two LBs in the interior before withdrawing them and send a slot defender from the outside.

At the start in the campaign, we said on a program that the Broncos might emerge as this season's surprise contenders. They finished the previous year strongly then excelled of building upon that.

Could Denver be this year's underdog story?

Recently acquired TE their tight end has stepped up big while new running back JK Dobbins is a guy the team trusts. He's currently fifth league-wide in ground gains (402) as well as tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (four).

I love that head coach the Broncos' leader displays "RUSH!" prominently on his call sheet.

This demonstrates that Denver are a squad aiming to run first, since one can achieve much based on that approach. It slows opposing rushes while keeps you in favourable situations.

This has benefited quarterback Bo Nix, who came into the league as a first-round selection last year, passing for 29 touchdown passes – second only to Justin Herbert in rookie records (31 back in 2020).

Other elite QBs have the arm strength to pass all over, however they lack in the same way as Nix. He has exceptional passing ability, a unique trait, and he's highly agile.

His assets are his mobility, the capacity to throw while moving, and using different arm angles to deliver throws as he moves outside protection, on rollouts. He can throw precision throws across the middle or past defenders.

For a young quarterback, at 25, he displays great composure in the pocket and isn't bothered by extra rushers. He aims to avoid being tackled as much as possible and is able pass in tight spots. He possesses a high football IQ and is quick to decide.

If you constantly rush it eats up time and forces the opponent to stay in play for longer, and when you have an athletic quarterback the defence must cover the field vertically side to side. It can be draining.

The quarterback has pushed back with the coach on the sideline sometimes and I think the coach appreciates that fire, seeing him as such a competitor. In my view it's fun for him to coach a young quarterback who's kind of like play-dough. The coach can truly develop him the way he wants to build it. I think it's a unique opportunity for him.

Payton owns a championship and has passed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173, tying for 14th). He has witnessed it all. I think the success Denver are experiencing on offence is largely down to his leadership, his play-calling, his situational awareness – and the combination with the QB aids make him into who he is.

There's no better a better guy in your ear, to help you through difficult moments and build self-belief.

I have faith in Denver's defence, in the QB's grit and calm. But are they good enough to face a top squad at its best? Since that wasn't championship-level play from Philadelphia in their last game.

Currently, I don't think Denver are incredible. They're working better than most, that's a solid position to hold their division. The key to do is maintain this trajectory.

They're really good at leaning into their forte, that is running the ball, and this is exactly what they should do against the Jets at Tottenham. It will likely be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.

New York have allowed 140 rushing yards each contest (among the worst), five ground scores so far (10th worst), and they are the only team yet to win any game.

Since the NFL began tracking turnovers decades ago, this team are also the first team to go without a single takeaway through five games, which is surprising when you think that their new coach was previously defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.

Patrick Mahomes says the Chiefs are off to a poor start after Monday's defeat to Jacksonville.

After the upcoming matchup, Denver face a manageable slate until their break (in week twelve) - the Giants, the Cowboys, the Texans plus Las Vegas Raiders before the Kansas City Chiefs.

Looking at the AFC West, the Chiefs are 2-3 and the Broncos are even with the Los Angeles Chargers on 3-2 meaning they could make a run for the top of the West.

This hinges upon what version of the Chiefs they face since the Broncos {beat|def
